​9 animals that never sleep​ at night

There are some animals which get very little sleep in their life.

Dolphins  Sleep with one eye open and only half of their brain at a time, which is called unihemispheric sleep

Bullfrogs  Can go without sleep for long periods of time and use rest to conserve energy.  

Giraffes  Sleep for short bursts, totaling around 30 minutes per day. They can spend several weeks without sleeping. 

Ants  Take brief naps throughout the day, totaling around 250 minutes of sleep per day. 

Walruses  Can go for 84 hours with no sleep. They can sleep anywhere on land, on the bottom of the ocean, or floating. 

Elephants  Get a mere two hours of shut-eye per night and can skip a night's sleep without needing to nap the next day.  

Orcas  Also known as killer whales, babies spend their first few months without any sleep.  

Alpine swifts  Can stay in the air for months without landing or sleeping. They sleep on the wing for brief periods during migration
